My last covers as Art Director of GQ Brasil #09 (December 2011), featuring Men of The Year awards. Selton Mello was the cover for newsstands, photographed in São Paulo by Mauricio Nahas (one of the best ones I’ve worked with during my consultancy at GQ). I think there is too much text on int, what reduces the impact of a special issue suck as Men Of The Year, but it was a editorial decision. The other cover, with Isabeli Fontana photographed by Vincent Peters, was only for subscribers. In that case the board decided to remove all the other headlines. Both were printed with gold pantone.
