New year, new look
After my holidays, time to get back to work. And to set up a new start, I’ve changed my Tumblr theme to the one you are looking at right now, designed by Style Hatch. Soon I will post some of my current projects.

2011, the year dedicated to GQ Brazil
My one-year consultancy as Art Director at GQ Brazil magazine comes to an end. It was a great experience and a privilege to work with great designers, photographers and illustrators. Now it’s time to get back to my design consultancy agency. On January, I’ll reactive some projects I’ve postponed when I accepted the challenge to hire the art team and implement the project of the...

Wordle online app →
Nice tool that uses tags or texts to generate illustrations with type. This is a sample I’ve made. I only wish they had a PDF or vector file that could be downloaded.

Pedestrian Signs in Paris
The pedestrian signs in Paris are made with small dot lights that together create the shape of the pictogram. They are very distinguished from most of the pedestrian signs around the world.
During the week I was in Paris I spotted four different shapes for each sign. Three of the red ones are almost the same, they just present slightly differences in the placement of the dots (sorry for the 2...

Typeface Design Master in Reading, UK
{MATD’09} With a solid background in editorial design after working for 8 years as art director in magazines and type consultant for other publications, I decided to take one year off to improve my typographical skills. In October 2008 I started a Master in Typeface Design at The University of Reading.
Check some photos of this experience at my Flickr’s MATD...
